Filene Programs Support Credit Union Leadership Development at All Levels

Call is open for applications to Filene i3 and enrollment in The Cooperative Trust’s new programming.

Filene is inviting credit union industry organizations to participate in two leadership development opportunities designed for emerging and experienced leaders through The Cooperative Trust and Filene i3 communities.

Filene i3 is a two-year innovation leadership program and community equipping top credit union professionals with the mindset, tools and network to lead and shape the future. Through this cohort-based program, participants work in cross-functional teams to explore and address many of credit unions' most pressing challenges.

"Filene i3 has always brought together credit unions' most captivating leaders and unleashed them on our biggest challenges,” said Filene Advisor Brent Dixon. “Now more than ever, innovation means finding new ways of working together—with each other, with our communities, and across sectors—to tackle problems better than we could each on our own. We're thrilled to announce a new collection of experiential training for the next Filene i3 class grounded in co-creation, systematic testing, and collective action."

The Filene i3 leadership program develops innovation competencies and mindsets in senior leaders. Applications for Filene i3 are open until November 14, 2020. Details on how to apply are available at filene.org/i3.

The Cooperative Trust is an Herb Wegner Award-winning community focused on providing opportunities for rising credit union talent—specifically, young and emerging professionals. The new “Crash Filene’s Centers of Excellence” program is designed to foster commitment to credit unions and align with each of Filene’s Centers of Excellence.

“The goal of The Cooperative Trust’s “Crash Filene’s Centers of Excellence” program is to provide recognition and reward talent, as well as provide credit union organizations with a tool to take leadership development to the next level, helping credit unions stay relevant long into the future,” said Cortney Angeley, Filene’s Director of Community Development. “We are thrilled to be launching this new experience in 2021 that aims to engage emerging leaders and rising talent across North America with new content focused on research from each of Filene’s Centers of Excellence.”

The new Cooperative Trust program brings together new leaders to collaborate with like-minded peers, gain a holistic perspective on credit unions and build a path for how the credit industry will continue to serve members into the 21st century and beyond. Enrollment opens on September 1 and closes on December 1. Details on how to enroll can be found on filene.org/cooperativetrust.

Filene i3 and Crash Filene’s Centers of Excellence program participants will be announced in January 2021.
