Kate Brennan is the Chief Operating Officer at Spectra Credit Union in Alexandria, Virginia. She helps the organization turn strategy into action while overseeing the Card Services, Facilities, Human Resources, Operations, Project Management, Retail, and Technology functions. With over 17 years of credit union experience, Kate is passionate about upholding the credit union philosophy of people helping people through her role as a leader. She graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with bachelor’s degrees in music education and music performance, and earned her MBA at Virginia Tech. Kate was the Maryland DC Credit Union Association’s Emerging Leader Award Winner in 2022. She is also a certified Project Management Professional® (PMP), a CUES-Certified Chief Executive (CCE), and a CUES-Certified Payments Strategist (CPS). Kate lives in Ashburn, Virginia, and enjoys spending time outside of work with friends and family.
