Dr. Jessica Gamache joins Filene as the Head of Research, responsible for driving Filene's research agenda and ensuring the six Centers of Excellence continue to advance the impact of credit unions and the well-being of credit union members.
Being a first-generation college student, Jessica has a personal and professional commitment to creating access and opportunity for individuals. She most recently served as the Head of Design Research for a major US consulting firm, where her work had a heavy emphasis in financial services, from banking to investment management to insurance. A particularly poignant program she led, helping to create a digital program to teach financial literacy to elementary school students, set her on a path to find Filene, allowing her to dig into the direct impact of banking, and specifically credit unions, on individuals and communities.
Jessica completed her PhD at Michigan State University and her BA at UMass Amherst. After spending several years in Philadelphia, she recently bought a 100-year old house with her husband, Steve, in the Boston area. Thankfully, their newest addition, a dachshund named Herman, doesn't mind the sound of power tools. Just don't ring a doorbell around him!
