Trauma-Informed Services for Credit Union Employees

The experiences of the last 16 months–a global pandemic, social unrest, and an economic downturn to name a few–represent a significant risk of trauma exposure. These kinds of traumatic experiences have been shown to have a negative impact on employees and have created new needs and opportunities for credit unions to revise their approach to supporting staff.

Trauma-informed approaches and evidence-based methods can help guide the development of policy, practices, and decisions that foster a healthy and productive staff in more equitable ways. We are bringing insights directly from researcher Hammad S. N’cho, PhD, Executive Director, N’cho Behavioral Group, on how to plan next steps for your team to create a work culture that is safe, enables personal and professional growth, values collaboration, and ultimately maximizes productivity.
