Weddings, Cars and Credit Unions

What do weddings, cars and credit union conferences have in common?

The answer? Crashers! In my (rather biased) opinion, the latter kind are by far the best Crashers. This acclaimed Crash program is led by the Cooperative Trust and brought to you by Filene. With the Trust’s launch of a new website and rebrand earlier this spring, let’s take a fresh look at this award-winning young professional community.

The answer?

Events

The flagship Crash program is designed to empower credit union young professionals to develop professionally and bring their voices to advocate for the role of young people in our industry by crashing, a/k/a attending, conferences around the country. Our largest class ever crashed the 2018 CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference – just one of 13 crash events in 2018. Their presence has been strong and motivating and we know they will keep the momentum going through the upcoming events and beyond.

Branding

This past April, the Cooperative Trust unveiled its new logo and website, building momentum and enhancing the way the online community can connect young professionals around the country (and globe!) The updated brand reflects the continued maturity of the program and drive to create broader and deeper impact for young people in the credit union space. The Cooperative Trust community gives young credit union professionals the opportunity to collaborate with likeminded peers across the globe. Just ask the Trust.

Mentorship

Currently underway, the Cooperative Trust is piloting a mentorship program to test a match system and provide resources and touch-points to ensure the best outcomes for the mentor, the mentee and our industry.

Partnership

Not only is the Cooperative Trust continuing to grow and adapt to the needs of young professionals in credit unions, but our partners are joining us for this exciting ride as well. Credit Union National Association graciously renewed their support for another three years as the primary supporter of the Cooperative Trust. This level of support allows the Trust to mature and scale its programs to create the largest impact for your people in credit unions.

Friendship

Young people are our future - without them, no credit union can survive long-term.  That's why the Cooperative Trust is here. Partners like Credit Union National Association and Visa, Inc. make it possible to ensure young professionals in the credit union space have all the tools and resources they need to succeed — ensuring the success of the industry at the same time.

The Cooperative Trust is here for you. Join the community, apply to be a crasher or follow us online.
