Let's take a look back at some of our most insightful and inspirational sessions provided by Filene Fellows at this year's event!
Financial services are in a state of flux, with credit unions facing a market environment characterized by constant change - driven both by new innovations and rapid disruption. Dr. Hillman and Dr. Black will introduce their respective centers Leadership, Strategy & Governance and the Credit Union of the Future. They will share their roadmaps on how credit unions can align their organization both internally and externally to thrive now and in the future.
Many credit unions operate employee resource groups (ERGs), also called business resource groups (BRGs), with the goals of leveraging diverse insights to drive business goals and supporting team members. Drawing from interviews with credit union leaders and surveys of ERG participants, Dr. Roberson shares new insights about the value for ERGs in credit unions. Join this session to learn how to use this business practice to enable change in your organization!
Join Dr. Lisa Servon and Megan Snyder as they briefly explore the different ways credit unions are partnering with local organizations and other credit unions to best provide financial services to underserved members in their communities. Learn the ins and outs of what you should consider if you want to create similar community partnerships, including: challenges and opportunities, expected and unexpected outcomes, lessons and wins, and stories of impact and growth.
Getting to innovation isn't easy. What are the pros and cons of different approaches to innovation? Join Dr. Jeffrey Robinson as he explores different ways credit unions are pursuing innovation in their organizations, and demonstrates the importance of infusing innovation into your culture. Hear a panel of credit union leaders talk about how they are driving innovation in their own organizations.
Join Dr. Mai Nguyen as she explores different ways credit unions are building resilience in the communities they serve. A global pandemic, hurricanes, wildfires, and record temperatures are just the latest examples of recent disasters. Learn how you can play a critical role in supporting your own community before, during, and after hardships.
Credit unions continue to invest human and financial resources to drive value from data-driven decisions. As an additional path to support such decision making, Filene and Trellance have partnered to create CUDX – a credit union data exchange that will enable credit unions to share data easily and cooperatively for better outcomes. Filene Fellow Dr. Cheri Speier-Pero will highlight the role of exchanges in the financial services industry and Keith Sultemeier, Kinecta FCU CEO, and JB Orecchia, President and CEO of SavvyMoney, will highlight how data exchanges create value.
