Being known as a Bank “Secrecy” Act Officer and having an Internal Audit and Compliance background to most, often conveys an aura of rigidity and living in a black and white world. While the nature of the work itself has these nuances, through my own approach and opportunities, I have been able contribute and collaborate in more meaningful ways.
With 20 years of Financial Services experience in Southern California, I started my journey working at a Savings and Loan as a Bank teller, eventually overseeing operations for 37 branches refining operational and service processes. Compliance, Internal Audit and Risk Management opportunities followed over the years steering my career to SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union in 2009. My duties and attention are now over Bank Secrecy, Enterprise Risk Management and Physical Security.
For SchoolsFirst, I have also been afforded the ability to contribute to the organization through my personal interests in videography, editing and show production. In my spare time, I enjoy travelling with my family to any and all international destinations with our next targeted locale… Africa.
