Melissa Vigil is the Chief Administrative Officer for Northwest Community Credit Union located in Eugene, Oregon amongst the valley of evergreen trees. With almost two decades of experience in Leadership and Human Resources gained from working in various industries including financial, university, local government, retail and restaurant, Melissa has earned the reputation of being inquisitively resourceful in asking the "why" and creative in her ability to solve problems. With an undergrad degree in Public Health Promotion & Education and an MBA, Melissa leads with a balanced approach of servant leadership and business savviness. Melissa has served most recently as the 2015 Director for the Oregon SHRM Council, Board Member on the Northwest Human Resources Management Association and is currently on the Board of Direction Services, a local nonprofit serving children with disabilities and special needs.
Outside of work, Melissa can be found in a Zen-like state on her yoga mat, traveling with her spouse Joe and two kiddos, Colby & Lucie, searching for flea market treasures or simply sipping tea over WWII fiction. She loves nature but would prefer glamping over camping!
