Mel Gillen joined the Filene family to fill a brand-new position as the Senior Growth Director. Mel’s focus will be continuing to grow our sales competency, business development and our large account strategy. She’ll be instrumental in growing the connection between impact and engagement.
Mel is one of the special few who have been a part of the credit union movement her entire life. Her credit union career began as a teller while attending the University of Maine. She later completed her MBA from Thomas College and worked her way up to Senior Vice President of a credit union on the east coast.
In 2001, she joined the CUNA Mutual Group team as a sales executive and most recently served as their Director/Capability Leader, Large Account Strategy. At CUNA Mutual Group, Mel perfected her skills in supporting sales organization, agile methodology and organizational transformation.
Although credit unions have always been a part of her life, she is also an avid reader, hiker, and chef, and enjoys traveling with her family.
