Evelyn Royer

Vice President, Operations at Purdue Federal Credit Union

Evelyn Royer joined the credit union in 1994 as the internal auditor. She was promoted to accounting manager a few years later then was chosen to develop the Risk Management Department in 2002. In 2005, Royer became a vice president, overseeing loss mitigation, compliance, internal audit and support services for consumer loans, deposits and plastic products. She has since phased out of her compliance and auditing responsibilities for the credit union and is now in the process of transitioning into the role of president/ COO of Purdue Federal’s wholly owned CUSO, CU Channels, LLC. During her tenure, Royer has served on numerous local boards and committees including the YWCA of Greater Lafayette Board of Directors, Purdue Convocations Advisory Board and United Way of Greater Lafayette’s Community Investment Committee. Nationally she has sat on advisory boards for CUNA’s Credit Union Protection group and Card Services for Credit Union (CSCU) as well as participated as an ‘ignite Indiana’ member - a creative think/do group of selected Indiana credit union professionals. She is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and certified by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) as a Credit Union Compliance Expert. Royer is married to Scott, a high school social studies instructor, and together they raise their two very active teenage daughters, Elisa and Samantha.
