Christine Cordell

SVP and Chief Project/Learning Officer at Blaze Credit Union

Christine Cordell's passion is utilizing a member-centric experience when connecting clients with solutions to discover financial freedom. With more than 20 years of financial cooperative experience, she currently serves as SVP and Chief Project/Learning Officer at Blaze Credit Union (formerly Hiway CU / Spire CU) supporting the Enterprise Project Management Office, Financial Empowerment Office (financial education and well-being initiatives), and the Blaze Credit Union Foundation along with Blaze's Learning & Development team.

Prior to this, Christine served as SVP of Strategy and Transformation for Hiway Federal Credit Union in St. Paul, Minnesota. Her role works unilaterally across business units to effectively accomplish the organization's strategic objectives. This work encompasses change management, organizational communication, brand awareness, and project management.  

Throughout her career, Christine has served on various community focused boards and strives to emanate positive change.  Currently as a member of WOCCU's Global Women's Leadership Network (GWLN), Christine inspires credit union professionals to advance the credit union industry through education, experience and networking. She also serves as Ambassador of Minnesota's Sister Society, a local chapter of the GWLN.
 
In her free time, Christine shares her enthusiasm for life with her husband and two kids. They are a young, active family, who are self-proclaimed foodies and travel enthusiasts. They take pride and engage in the community through volunteerism with schools, girl scouts, and other non-profit organizations.

Having grown-up within the people helping people philosophy, Christine instills these values throughout her personal and professional relationships. Her personal mission is to continue to empower others to achieve their personal best.
