Request for Partnership
Known for the past 20 years as a credit union system think tank, the Filene Research Institute has evolved from THINK to DO to DONE as we help our member organization take ideas from the conceptual stage to implementation in the marketplace.
This work cannot be accomplished without partners. In addition to generating ideas internally via our i3 teams, we are also interested in looking at external ideas that could be customized for credit unions, piloted, refined, and ultimately scaled up. We do this through partnerships—do you have what it takes? To start exploring the possibilities, follow these four easy steps.
Step 1
Please complete and submit a Request for Partnership form. We will review your request and respond within one week. In the meantime, should any questions arise, please contact us.
Step 2
Should your request be deemed eligible for partnership, you or someone from your organization would make plans to be present at our next i3 group meeting.
You would prepare a presentation approximately 10 minutes in length for our i3 team members that would be followed by five minutes of questions and answers. There may be multiple organizations presenting ideas. At the conclusion of all presentations, a negotiating process will occur with the desired outcome that all teams are matched with a presented idea. There is no guaranteed that your idea will be selected for continued development/investment.
Step 3
Over the following six months, your organization’s representative would be working closely with an i3 project team of 4-6 people to prepare the idea for pilot and launch a pilot in one or more credit unions. This typically requires a commitment of a one-hour team conference call and approximately one hour of follow up work per week.
Step 4
Based on the results from the pilot, you will refine the idea parameters and prepare it for larger scale up within the credit union system. You may be asked to return to the next i3 gathering to present your findings.
