Josey Siegenthaler is the research associate at Filene where she project manages Filene's portfolio of research. Additionally, she manages events for the Filene Research Council, various academic colloquiums, and research-based meetings. Josey previous experience includes work in advertising, publishing, and with top-notch journalists from around the world during her tenure at the Knight-Wallace Fellowship program at University of Michigan.
Dan Hoover is the director of operations for the Filene Research Institute. His entrepreneurial experiences include being a vital part of a start-up software company where he was director of operations, handling all aspects of the business, including project management, facilities, human resources, internal IT/IS, budgets, customer service and sales/marketing. Dan also has familiarity with credit unions with 12 years of industry experience. He was the Manager of the CUNA Councils for CUNA Affiliates. Additionally, Dan was a branch manager for UW Credit Union in Madison, WI where he was a part of the team to introduce the retail branch experience.
Karen Hodgkiss supports the innovation initiatives, including the i3 program, as project catalyst. She contributes 18 years of experience from the financial services industry, with previous positions including teller, assistant manager, marketing manager, and branch manager. Prior to joining Filene, she was self-employed as a freelance writer/editor, project manager, and conference planner. Karen is known professionally as an individual who thrives when working against deadlines, applying outstanding organizational skills to keep projects on task.
Andrea Nilsen is the director of membership for the Filene Research Institute. Prior to joining Filene, Andrea was director of championships and events at the University of Wisconsin Department of Athletics. While there she was involved with all aspects of event planning for a range of events including the 2006 NCAA Ice Hockey Championship in Milwaukee and the 2002 NCAA Men’s Basketball Midwest Regionals held at the Kohl Center in Madison. Originally from Southern California, Andrea moved to Madison, WI in 1989 when she took a position as the assistant women’s volleyball coach for the Wisconsin Badgers.
