The Institute is dedicated to securing the future viability of credit unions by helping them adapt to rapidly changing economic, legal and social environments.

Who are we? The Institute is one of the only organizations to invest in the future of credit unions on a system-wide level by providing ground-breaking research and innovation.

The past 18 months have been a productive time for the Institute, including enhanced:

• Dissemination of Filene research and innovation findings to hundreds of audiences around the world and dozens of mentions in the main stream press.
• Breadth of research and innovation with a record output of projects.
• Growth of Filene members, with nearly 1,600 credit unions supporting our industry’s think and do tank.
• Talent, access to a first-tier academic community, i3, introduction of PhD student intern opportunities, and the aggregation of 30 individuals under 30 to help make credit unions relevant to Gen Y.
