Hiring correctly is one of the hardest tasks for any employer. Given the financial, demographic, and regulatory challenges facing credit unions, hiring is doubly important. Hat tip, then, to Seth Godin’s packaging of this insight: Hire people whose work you know, not just whose interviews impress you. Contract with them; use them as interns; bring them as temps … and then take the plunge.
