It was just months ago that Billie June was our first $100,000 Save to Win winner from the collaboration among the 8 piloting Michigan credit unions. This inspiring story continues with nearly 40 credit unions now presenting Save to Win to communities devastated by high unemployment. The Save to Win program offers members an exciting new way to save for their future and fund their dreams.
Thanks to a partnership with Doorways to Dreams and the Michigan Credit Union League the program is advancing to other states. For example, Prize-linked savings legislation just passed in Rhode Island due to the work of Senator Juan Pichardo and the Credit Union Association of Rhode Island. North Carolina and Washington State may be next. Provisions in the public policy for promotion raffles are needed for this program to thrive in each state.
