In addtion to Andrea’s previous posts about the Montreal meeting (here and there ) our friends at Desjardins shared an interesting correspondence between Mr. Edward Filene and Mr. Alphonse Desjardins (pictured above) which occured almost 100 years to the day of meeting.

It was truly an honor to be present at the moment Hubert Thibault of Desjardins spoke of this letter. Reading the actual letter now reminds me of that exact moment – where the past, present and future of credit unions connected.
Congratulations to the Desjardins Group in Canada and the Filene Research Institute for your dedication to the vision of these two great men!
